North Sumatra trip chap-2

We arrived Berastagi after through a forest and hills though we still can saw Lake Toba from afar. In Berastagi we check in to Green Garden Hotel and we go for good lunch and walk to the famous Berastagi Fruit Market. It's their first time saw a lot and so big fruits market. I bought small tomatoes (tomat ceri) and i love it raw because it taste so sweet. In the afternoon we went to Sidebu-debu hot water springs, it's below Sinabung Volcano and the water real hot, much higher than our body temperature. For dinner, they only had fruits we bought from the market. But it's really not enough for me and i went look for food around the hotel. I get Aceh fried noddle just beside the hotel and since it's on the road side i didn't invite them because they avoid dirty food. But suddenly they call me and ask me where i am. They said they want to join since they are bored in the room. Eddy interest with my food and order it for himself and he love it too! It's is his first time he ate food on roadside.
The other day, we visit Taman Alam Lumbini, i heard it a lot since it's my best friend's father build it. They got the largest Pagoda in Indonesia with a big garden beside it.

The Pagoda are wonderful with 4 Jade Budha statue inside it.

But the best part is the garden, there's a long and very high bridge, beautiful flower and we can hear very calm voices around it.

For fews hours we explore the Pagoda and the garden, Eddy asking if we can go to St Fransikus from Asisi church. Since it's not so far so we make short visit there

After the Church trip we went back to Medan, the road are smooth and not thrilling like before. We visit Maimoon Palace. It's Sultan Deli palace and now become museum. Not much to see, just old building and their history. After the Palace, we went to Great Mosque, just 10 minutes walk distance. It's the largest Mosque in Medan and at the backyard there is Sultan Deli tomb. Only Eddy went inside the Mosque, me and Liesbeth got very weird feeling to ask us to not enter the Mosque, it's strange feeling but we just follow it...
They get back to hotel to clean up and prepare for what we wait since they arrived in Bandung. DURIAN!
We've been talk about it a lot, and saw a lot of it since in Parapat. But i keep it for the last night because i afraid they got digestion problem after Durian.
Liesbeth can't eat it at all, the taste and the smell are too strong and she keep spit and drink a lot after try it a little bit. But Eddy love it, he can't eat a lot but he like it! and i love it for my own like usually.
The last day in Medan, i invite them for lunch and bring around my house area. They saw a lot of things, we went to local barbershop too and they are impressed with it. In the afternoon we went back to Jakarta and straight to Bandung. It was nice and happy trip. 3 of us are enjoying everything and happy with it. This trip will be always memorable...for us :-)
